Skilled - Independent (Permanent) (Subclass 189) visa

This points-tested visa is for skilled overseas citizens who are not nominated by an employer, a state or territory, or a family member.

All overseas citizens wishing to apply for this visa must lodge an Expression of Interest in the Department of Immigration and Border Protection's SkillSelect.

Skilled Regional Nominated (Provisional) (Subclass 489) visa and Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) visas

Department of Immigration and Border Protection limit of EOI invitations

Please be aware that the Department of Immigration and Border Protection have imposed a national limit on the number of visas available for the General Skilled Migration program (which includes State and Territory nominated visas) for each of the eligible skilled occupations per financial year.

We will inform you if the quota for your skilled occupation has been reached and we are unable to nominate you.
